For teachers & band directors
Free, no-login games for warm-ups, sub days, stations, and "we have five minutes left" moments. Built for the band room.
Why it works in a classroom
- Free, forever — no licenses, no trials, no paywall.
- No student accounts — nothing to sign up for or manage. Just open a link.
- Chromebook-friendly — runs in any modern browser; no install.
- Privacy-first — microphone audio is analyzed live on the device and is never recorded or uploaded. Only initials + score are sent, and only if a student chooses to save to a high-score board.
- Real skills — note reading, rhythm, ear training, pitch, and tuning.
Ways to use it
- Daily warm-up: two minutes of the Tuner or a quick Clef Match round to settle the room.
- Theory stations: Chromebooks running Clef Match and Rhythm Match (no mic needed) while you pull small groups.
- Sub days: a self-running, productive activity that needs no setup.
- Sectionals & individual practice: Brass Blaster for note recognition and Echo for ear training.
Ready-made Google Classroom links
Paste any of these straight into Google Classroom, a slide, or a QR code. The Clef Match
links open on a specific clef so the whole class lands on the same activity. Add
&start=1 (already included below) to begin the round automatically.
Clef Match — note reading
- Treble clef: bandroom.games/match/?clef=treble&start=1
- Bass clef: bandroom.games/match/?clef=bass&start=1
- Both clefs mixed: bandroom.games/match/?clef=both&start=1
Rhythm Match — note values
- Start a round: bandroom.games/rhythm/?start=1
Warm-ups (mic)
- Tuner: bandroom.games/tuner/
- Brass Blaster: bandroom.games/play/ — pick the instrument; transposition is automatic.
- Echo (ear training): bandroom.games/echo/
